I just made $636 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
Assuming I get down to GA for school by this fall I should be off by next summer. The exact date I don't actually know. At this point in time I would not be fi enough to handle the journey. But I sort of knew this already. I'm only 135 at 5'10'.
I was already planning a workout regimen, such as running and strength training to be completely ready by 2011. I definitely agree that I would need to spend some time on a boat before taking on such a long endeavor. I had even found a site called "crewseekers international". I would however love the chance to to cruse next summer on your ship! That way not only would I be getting some experience, but I would get to meet you and maybe some of the others in person.
I'll find out for certain what my schedule will be by next week.
Well I have two years of college under my belt at this pont, and by the time the trip starts I should have two more. Although I'll be taking another year off for this I believe, I will return to school at a london campus to finish things up!
I plan to take sailing classes separately. If not this summer, definitely by next summer I'll be taking more than one. :) That way I could help out on board with whatever you'd need me to do.
Some of the job positions I've held are, an office clerk, a nanny and housekeeper, an assistant to a head of a business where i was in charge of different schedules including hers, a retail sales associate working both on the floor and in the stock room, and a hostess for a restaurant and night club.
Alot of my interests seem to center around art. I'm very interested in different cultures, all sorts of art- from written to performance. I especially love sclupture and working with the human figure. Fashion is also an interest, it varies from place to place and I'd like to one day see it all and recognize it's origin; from traditional to contemporary.
I also like to have a good time (who doesn't?) I really enjoy volleyball on and off the cort- I'm probly not the best at it though! I also like swimming, my mom taught me how to swim at a young age- she was a very strong swimmer. Although I have to say I did not inherit her ability- it is still something I quite like and could use if necessary. I will most likely take another class in swimming tho before the trip as well!
In school I want to study Fashion and international business. REcently I have taken an interest in Photography and hope that I'll be able to use this skill in my career as well. I'd be bringing my camera and taking as many pictures as I could stomach.
Right now though I'm trying to relocate for school and sell some artwork.
Hello There Daniel, I was wondering if you still have any more slots available for this trip? I'm really excited, unfortunately at this point I have no experience but I will be taking classes soon.
I want to document this experience as well.
hello! I was wondering if you still have spots open for other passengers? I am planning on buying a boat of my own one day and want to get some good experience in. As of yet I have no sailing experience (though will most likely before the trip). Either way I'm a hard worker, eager to learn and be helpful. This trip seems like a dream and an oppertunity I can't pass up!
Daniel - I am pretty excited about starting my own cabinet design center. I thought that there would be a lot of research involved in building a complete business plan and it hasn't proven me wrong. I wish I had more time to put towards it, but with my current work, graduation and my son shipping off for basic on the 24th, it's hard to find time to sit down and get running with it. Even though this is something that shouldn't and won't be rushed I want to get it done and behind me so that I can get started. I'm sure your happy about winding down your business and completing your retrofit on the boat...best wishes on it. Have a safe and fun trip to Virginia. I'd love to see some pictures when your done. Take care.
Hello again Daniel. Well it sounds as if you have a rather nice boat. Wow, 55', that should be nice and roomy for 2. Do the 2 of you plan on using it as a live aboard or is it strictly for pleasure? Not to say living on it wouldn't be a pleasure. I'd have to say that you have more years of sailing than I and I know that my sailing has got to be very rusty since I have only sailed once since my move up here in 2000. So are the 2 of you retired, or are you still strapped down to the 9 to 5? What do you do or did you do? I am actually in the middle of putting together a business plan to present to a potential silent partner to start a Design Center here in Central Washington. I'm certain that it will be successful with my experience, my clientèle and location, since there isn't another Design Center within 120 miles in any given direction. All I mainly design for are multi-million dollar custom home builders and that will continue to be my focus. Good luck on the refit and send me some pictures of her when you finish, I'd love to see her.
Good morning Daniel and thanks for the response. Well as of April 28th I no longer have a fiance...now I have a wife. I have had a little experience sailing and have owned a couple of smaller sailboats when I lived in Florida. I would buy one, fix it up and sell or trade for a bigger boat. The last boat I had was a 28' Columbia, but Hurricane Opal was so kind to take it away from me. I never even was able to set a sail on her. My goal was to eventually own a 40' to live aboard. As the years went buy and the expense of a family followed that goal was harder to reach. My oldest son will be joining the US Army this June and my youngest son, who has a rare kidney disease, is 2 years away from going to a Culinary College. After that we can focus on our dream of cruising, hopefully full time if we can find a way to make money as we cruise. This fall my new wife and I are planning to get our sailing certifications and start enjoying the wind in a set of sails.
I am a kitchen and bath designer and also with Search & Rescue and my wife manage a business. We are very active in many activities. We love hiking, canoing, kayaking, rock climbing, bouldering, snowboarding/skiing, and working on our classic Corvette. We both work hard on everything we do, but we don't take short cuts just to speed things up.
So how long have you and your wife been sailing and what kind of sailboat do you have?
Hello Daniel,
Welcome to Out to Sea and Overboard! I see you are a ride along host! Thank you so much for offering spots on your sailboat, and helping others fulfill there dreams of sailing around the world too. If you have any questions feel free to post them, and I will answer them ASAP.
Well hello there. Are you still looking to have passengers aboard your boat for this adventure? My fiance and I are looking for someone to sail with. We hope to have a boat of our own by the time we set sail for this voyage, but reality tells me that this would hard for us to do financially.
